Brian Patterson faced an extraordinary battle with courage and strength. Diagnosed with the rare and aggressive Central Nervous System Vasculitis, he fought relentlessly for three months. His resilience, love, and legacy continue to inspire us every day. This is more than a foundation. This is Brian’s fight carried forward.
About Us
The Brian J. Patterson Foundation was created in loving memory of Brian Patterson, a father, friend, and leader whose life was cut short by an aggressive autoimmune condition affecting his central nervous system. Following his passing, Brian’s brain, cerebrospinal fluid, and blood samples were donated to Boston University’s research program to advance the study of CNS vasculitis and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), two complex and often misunderstood neurological conditions.
Our foundation is dedicated to continuing his legacy by raising awareness, supporting families impacted by CNS vasculitis and CTE, and funding critical research to uncover causes, treatments, and ultimately, a cure. Through community driven efforts, educational initiatives, and fundraising events, we aim to shine a light on diseases that too often go undiagnosed and unrecognized.
